The next 6 monthsFor the two of you who still read this every now and then, I apologize. I was deceived by "the Princess" into thinking our wireless internet would actually work. I was a fool. It worked off and on for a couple weeks, was down for a month, then back up (with much fanfare) for ONE DAY. Yes. ONE DAY. So I haven't been the online addict I thought I might be.
Anyway, I have my next job lined up, and I thought I'd let both of you know. After this gig is over in September, I'll bum around the country for a month and a half (Colorado, Nebraska, Chicago, PA, the Carolinas, NYC of course, etc etc) and then do yet another Christmas Carol. A tour of the midwest with Nebraska Theatre Caravan. Ahhh...back to my roots. It's a good company, from what I hear, and a nice short tour. I'll be playing Fred's wife for the second year in a row - aka the most boring role in the universe. Oh well! It's a job. And I think being on tour again will be fun.
Alaska's nice, the money's great, the work is hard, and I haven't really seen much of the wilderness yet, unfortunately. It rains a lot. Last week Jeremy and I journeyed up to Fairbanks and (finally) saw Star Wars Episode III and Batman Begins. Both fantastic. I didn't really realize how emotionally attached I was to Star Wars until I saw it, and in particular saw Vader becoming Vader. Wow. Good times. I'll never be anywhere near the consummate Star Wars geek that my sister is, but I do still care.
Off to work, slinging ribs and singing cheese.
