I've taken it before -it's a steriod, and I remember actually kinda digging the way I felt. It gave me more energy, and I still have a faint suspicion that it actually improved my vision (my contact prescription got considerably weaker shortly after taking it). I'm not a fan of popping pills, but hopefully this will help. I also got on antibiotic ointment for my acne, so hopefully in a few weeks I won't be so ugly! :) Also got a flu shot - I always pretend I'm tough, needles don't scare me, but as soon as I'm about to get poked, I get pretty freaked. It was fine though. Never had one before, as I can recall, but since I'll be doing the educational theater tour in a few months and spending LOTS of time with kids, it seemed like a great idea. I'm listening to a really interesting interview with Hugh Hefner on NPR right now. What a character he is. He has 6 "girlfriends" right now, ages 21-25. He's 77 (this month, Playboy turns 50). Wow. He calls it a "revitalization process", a "reconnection with youth". Gee, I'm so glad he can USE these young women to make himself feel like a young man again. Ugh. I'm not one to judge, and generally big age differences aren't a big deal to me, but this Hugh Hefner, come on. Here's some more LOVES, something I've started doing when I'm blue: 1. Playing guitar 2. Driving fast 3. Brita water bottle 4. Ani DiFranco 5. Working up a sweat 6. Online diaries :) 7. Inspiration 8. Old friends 9. Acting (scene work) 10. Walking to work on a nice day 11. Maps 12. Hotel ice machines (why is that the ONE thing all hotels have???) 13. The number 13 14. Hedwig 15. Letters (especially unexpected ones) 16. Post-workout muscle aches 17. Hot tubs!! (outside, on a cold day) 18. Cooking (when I'm in the mood) The question of where to spend this New Year's continues...as last night Shelby tried to persuade me to spend it doing raucous outrageous things with her. Hmmm...raucous Shelby or relatively well-behaved Jeremy....what to do....In any case, it's nice to have options this time, since for the last couple I've been stuck in Nebraska (fortunately I was with some people I love there, but it is Nebraska, after all). I don't know when I'll see J again after that, and I've never been to his home, so I'll probably end up heading all the way down there. I can still see her before or after my trip... |
