prev # Wednesday, Dec. 24, 2003 9:55 p.m. # next Joy to the WorldMerry Christmas to all who celebrate such things! I'm in CO now. It's bizarre, I feel like such a GUEST in my parents' new (rented) place. But it's absolutely lovely, literally on the side of a mountain at about 8000 feet. Wow. I'm feeling a bit woozy, kinda like I did the first night in Montana this summer (that was about 7500 feet). I blame the altitude, along with a full day of travelling, and not a lot of sleep last night. I got to LaGuardia in NYC at 11:15 this morning, and my flight didn't leave till 1:30pm. Spent the whole day in airports, ugh....fun people-watching though. There was a GORGEOUS girl on my flight from Minneapolis who had the bridge of her nose pierced (right between her eyes). It looked amazing. That's something that wouldn't work on just anyone, but she really pulled it off. I say again, Gorgeous. Totally unrelated, but I quit biting my nails! Stopped like 3 weeks ago, with the help of "Bite It!", some nasty chemical stuff...As soon as Christmas Carol was over (yay!) I painted them. Chrome. Very nice. The habit's not completely kicked, but at least now I have NAILS of my very own. Reread the script of Red Herring on the plane today - this is the next show I'll be doing when I get back to BTE. I'm way excited for it - it's a small-cast comedy (3M, 3W), describes itself as a "fable", set in 1952 or so, and it's a film noir spoof sort of thing. I play sweet, wide-eyed but not-so-innocent Lynn McCarthy, Joseph McCarthy's daughter (!), and I also have one fun little scene as a bitter clerk. I've really done very little comedy so far, and am admittedly nervous about my abilities, but I think this is a good role for me. This is the show I've been looking forward to since I got this job...And the one that family and friends are hopefully going to come and see. Very tired, but wanted to wish all a happy holiday! Oh, and Ginger sez hi to all. |
