Hire me, please!I got a job offer yesterday! Charleston Stage Company, South Carolina. 10-month acting/teaching internship, starting July 5 and going until April 30, 2005. I'll be deciding this weekend, chances are I'll take it but I'm not totally sure yet. YAY to the offer at least...
Anybody know anything about Charleston the city? Never been, but the weather sounds FABULOUS if nothing else. I talked to the woman in charge (Marybeth) this morning: we were digging ourselves out of like 8 inches of snow, and down there it was 75 degrees and sunny today. Wow. I could use that after a winter in Pennsylvania. I'll keep you informed... if there's anyone still out there. On a similar note, a big shout-out to dear high school friend Brad (now living in NYC) who got one of his dream jobs as a swing on a national tour of CATS! Yay! I am so proud. He got the offer yesterday too! Rock on Lincoln East High alums! :) In other news, I spend my days in a van with three 14-year-old twentysomethings. These are not my people. Fortunately, two of today's three scheduled shows were postponed to another day due to snow, and Wednesday's shows were bumped to the afternoon - so the mythical 5am van calls haven't happened much yet. I've been sleeping in (sorta) and nursing yet another cold all week. ick.
