"But don't you see - she hasn't started on you yet!"In the interest of not having a rather bleak entry showing, I'm taking the time to update. At work in the box office right now, actually, but it's slow.
First preview of Inspector Calls was last night. Despite the rocky rehearsal process, I think we had a pretty good show. It seemed to be well-received, and hopefully that will continue for the whole run. I just feel so *forced* though. It's some of the most awkward acting I feel I've ever done. BUT - I'm getting really positive feedback from people, including some people I truly respect. I don't know what that means. Yeah, I know I'm my own worst critic, but still....
Anyway, Director's Circle is tonight. This is the grand evening when the rich Charlestonians pay absurd amounts of money to see the show before it opens (and get free food & wine). Hopefully there'll be some free food left after the show - payday's not till tomorrow!!
My heart is still aching, but things are a little better after an actual conversation last night. I feel extremely isolated lately, from everyone. But life goes on.
