Totally random entry about my hair...and other things

My hair is currently FABULOUS. Sandie introduced me to what we affectionately call the "bun-maker" (real name is "Magic Bun"). It's a little cheap plastic apparatus that helps you roll your hair up into a bun, and we spend many a goofy minute in the dressing room saying "Thank You, Bun-Maker!!" in our best sing-song advertising voices and coming up with dorky commercials ("I used to struggle with ALL THESE hair pins....not anymore" *toss pins over shoulder* "I discovered BUN MAKER!!")...Yeah, yeah, we get bored.....Anyway, tonight I discovered that if you roll it nice and tight, in relatively clean hair, your hair comes out curly and FABULOUS when the show's over. What fun!

I'm waiting for Will to call so we can go out somewhere - I mean, I can't let the hair go to waste! yukyukyuk Maybe I can get me some mens...or womens....

Yeah right.

A few of the hypochondriacs in my cast think they're getting my rash - they could be right. I REALLY hope not. I'd much rather believe it's an allergy than something contagious. Yuck.

We had a SOLD OUT house tonight, and it's supposed to be really full tomorrow too! Pretty great for all the snow & ice out there. They were a swell group too, really enthusiastic.

What else...hmm...Oh! I got the new Lamb CD ("Between Darkness and Wonder") in the mail today! Yippee! On first listen it doesn't hit me as much as the last CD did, but then again, I knew a lot of those songs before I got the whole album, and this one's all new to me. There are some great tunes on this one, including a mix using Clair De Lune that's very cool. And as always, they manage to hit me on a gut emotional level with their lyrics and beautiful tunes. I also got some fantastic Christmas presents already, including a string quartet U2 Tribute (I have the "strung out on OK Computer" CD and I *adore* it) and a DVD of a film about Radiohead, made in 1998. I finished watching the movie today, it's pretty cool. Just a little too artsy for the sake of being artsy, but has some interesting stuff. It makes me respect those guys even more, as they refuse to buy into the hype. Or so it seems. I could've used more concert footage, of course, but it's fun nevertheless. Perfect gifts, I have to say. Somebody knows me well.

I wanna move to San Francisco. We were talking about it tonight in the dressing room, for some reason, and Lydia made it sound so appealling. I've always figured I'd like it there, and now would be the time to try out new places. (well, not "now", exactly, but in the next few years I mean) It's expensive to live there, but about the same as NYC, I think, and I survived that. I love New York, but I certainly want to see knew places. Plus I think I'd dig the climate out there a little more, being so opposed to very very cold winters. So who knows, maybe I'll go to Montana and then just head even farther west! Megan and Johnny aren't *too* far (relatively) in Arcata, and I definitely want to visit them sometime. It's such a good feeling to know I can go wherever I want, as long as I can find the funds to make it there. I have no obligations, nothing tying me down anywhere. Almost scary, but mostly refreshing. Now is the time.
