I decided that I had a great experience and a good time despite the people I had to deal with. Yes, they were a touch obnoxious (and that's putting it nicely), but we had fun nevertheless. Now (on Thursday, actually) we begin work on Old Times, a Pinter play that we're doing for our intern project. I'm looking forward to it, but I'm not quite as excited as I should be. I didn't manage to find a play that I desperately wanted to do, but this will be a challenge and another interesting adventure. I love this place. I will miss it. I will NOT miss the weather (it was nice for a few days, now it's rainy and cold AGAIN), or the small-mindedness that I sometimes encounter in this small-town PA environment, or the tendency I have to get sick MUCH more often here than anywhere else. I'm ready for a new adventure, and I'm especially ready for some travelling, which will be my entire month of June. This past weekend was unusually raucous and quite fun. On Saturday, we celebrated the end of tour and Jeremy's 27th birthday (yesterday) with a small party at a nice house in the country. Beautiful night, so we spent the whole time outside. Several bug bites and an injured ankle later, we were satisfied. And exhausted. I made a kick-ass birthday cake yesterday, and took it easy as a big rainstorm whalloped our lil town. Then a pretty good movie, Envy, starring Jack Black and Ben Stiller. Worth seeing. That's all for now. Thank God for May. |
